Colorado Christian University administers its accounting program through the School of Business and Leadership. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidates in Colorado must complete 1 year as an employee of a Certified Public Accountant and acquire 27 semester hours of accounting courses and 21 semester hours in other business administration courses. In lieu of the work experience requirement, candidates can sit for the CPA exam by earning a bachelor's degree along with 30 hours of "non-duplicative study or other higher degree," according to Colorado's rules. Under this option, students must complete 45 hours of accounting courses and 36 in business administration.
