The California State University at Fullerton accepts military and nontraditional experience. Students who have served for one year will receive four to 12 credits to be applied toward a bachelor's degree. The student must have served in an active duty capacity, and the number of credits awarded is determined by the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experience in the Armed Services. CSU also offers transfer credit for correspondence and extension courses taken during military service.
George Washington University offers veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces transfer credits for military experience. The number of credits awarded is determined by the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. GWU offers credit not only for classes taken while in the military, but also for military training and experience. George Washington University will accept up to 60 credits in transfer course work.
The State University of New York, Oswego accepts military transfer credits. Prospective students are encouraged to supply an application and transcripts in order to have their transfer credits evaluated. The amount of credits awarded will vary. SUNY Oswego accepts up to 97 transfer credits from each student. There is an Office of Veteran's Services on campus to help military students with the application process.
Ohio State University offers transfer credit for military courses and experience. Courses taken while in the military must be submitted on an official military transcript. Ohio State University considers military experience and training experiential learning, and awards credit on a case-by-case basis.
