Medical Illustration Degrees

Medical illustration degrees combine an intimate knowledge of human and cellular biology with hand-drawn and computer-aided illustration techniques to create medical images in textbooks, print media and computer-based programs. Those wishing to pursue a degree in medical imaging need to have a strong background in human and cellular anatomy and have artistic talent. Medical illustration graduates are largely freelancers who contract their work out to museums, medical textbooks and research facilities.
