The University of Cincinnati in Ohio offers a bachelor of fine arts degree in electronic media. After completion of your junior year, you will be permitted to take advantage of internships. Many classes take you directly out into the community. It is recommended that you get involved in a campus organization. Besides the liberal arts and electronic media core and elective credit requirements, you will also take 14 business elective credits and 18 fine and performing arts core and elective credits for completion of the program.

Choose from film/video/digital media, radio/audio or film and media studies for your concentration. Only one concentration is allowed. Nine units of common introductory courses and 21 units of upper-division courses are required for completion of the program. A minor in electronic media is available and requires 24 units in electronic media courses. Up to nine units from other colleges are transferable.
The College of San Mateo, a community college in California, offers an associate's in arts degree in electronic media. Specializations in broadcast and electronic media, graphic design, journalism and web design are all part of the digital media program. The college boasts hands-on training in small crews. The school has a student training facility at a San Francisco television and radio station. It also offers certificate programs in achievement or specialization.
