Check your course syllabus to find out how the course is broken down. Write down how much each assignment was worth and then record what your percentage grade was for each assignment.
Convert the weights of each assignment to a decimal number. So if your assignment was worth 20 percent, or 20/100, the decimal equivalent is 0.2. Do this for all the assignments.
Determine the points you have achieved by completing your assignments. Multiply your grade percentage by the converted assignment weight. So, if you scored 90 percent on an assignment worth 20 percent, or 0.2, you would multiply these numbers for a score of 18. Do this for each assignment and score.
Add all the points together to determine how many points you have scored up to this point.
Determine your current standing in the course before you write the exam by subtracting the weight of the exam from 100. So if the exam is worth 20 percent, the resulting course material is worth 80 percent. Divide your current point score by the weight of the rest of the course. Multiply the number by 100 and this is your current percentage score for the course.
