Choose a subject that is interesting. Examples might be a favorite author or historical period. Research is a lot more fun when you are engaged with the material.
Select a wide variety of materials. While the literal meaning of bibliography is "list of books," you're not required to stick with only that format. Journal or magazine articles, interviews, video clips and films can all become part of an interesting bibliography.
Incorporate the bibliography into a blog. List entries could form individual posts, and the blog would function as a running commentary on a particular subject, author or current event.
Work as a group. Delegate sections of bibliography to individuals based on their research strengths. The combined effort of the group will produce a larger, more inclusive bibliography than one person working alone.
Work competitively. If the project is part of a class assignment and others are doing the same work, then challenge each other to produce the longest list, best list or most interesting list. Hold an awards ceremony in which the winners are announced and given prizes.
