AGBS requires applicants to have finished some recognized form of secondary education, such as the 10 plus 2 secondary schooling in India. Additionally, AGBS mandates that prospective students must take and pass a qualifying exam for acceptance into the school. Fluency in English and clear communication are also important factors that the school weighs by way of an interview and sample English essay.
AGBS has 12 campuses in India that offer the GDBA + BBA program. The campuses are situated in the cities of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna and Pune. Those attending school in Hyderabad and Mumbai will incur a higher yearly fee than all other AGBS campuses.
Classes are split up over two separate semesters each year. They cover essential business courses such as economics, accounting, communication, business law and management courses in finance and marketing. Students take electives during the last year, after all required courses are completed. Students can increase their knowledge in an area by choosing appropriate elective groups in the subjects of marketing, finance, human resources or information technology.
Once admitted, students must pay a deposit fee of 15,000 rupees to place a hold on a spot within the program. For 10 of the campuses, the fee ranges from 50,000 to 55,125 rupees per year, with fees slightly increasing with each successive year. At the Hyderabad and Mumbai locations, however, the fee ranges from 75,000 to 84,000 rupees per year. According to AGBS, a laptop with wireless connectivity is included in the overall fees.
