How to Register for FAFSA

Most colleges require you to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to check your eligibility for federally funded grants and loans to pay for college. You must enter the information from the previous years' tax returns for yourself and your parents, if you're under 24, along with information about your living situation and the degree you're going to be seeking in the next academic year. You can apply for your FAFSA online, by printing a PDF or by requesting an application through the mail.
