Adult College Grants

Adults in college have other responsibilities along with studying, internships and other college-related responsibilities. Adult students can find grants to reduce the number of hours they must work to pay for college and ease the burden of college and other responsibilities. Women who are returning to college or finishing college for the first time in particular have a plethora of scholarships from which to choose.
  1. Mercyhurst College

    • Mercyhurst Adult College offers the Catherine McAuley Scholarship to make adult education at Mercyhurst more possible for the students. The college awards the scholarship purely on the basis of financial need and adult student status. Students must be first-time college students or students who have attended college previously but not graduated. Students are considered for the scholarship automatically upon application. Mercyhurst also offers the Encore Scholarship to students holding an associate's degree with a 2.5 or greater grade point average and attending classes at Mercyhurst. The college also underwrites the College Try Fund to offer reduced tuition for students needing remedial work or review in college writing, reading and math.
