What is GPA requirements for Community College of Denver?

Freshman applicants:

* Applicants with fewer than 14 transferable credits or fewer than 30 degree-applicable quarter credits from regionally accredited colleges and universities will be considered for regular admission.

* Submit official high school transcripts or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.

* Submit official transcripts from previously attended colleges or universities.

* Have earned a minimum 2.0 GPA in transferable credits attempted prior to acceptance to CCD

Transfer students:

* All applicants with at least 14 transferable credits will be considered transfer students who have earned less than 94 credits.

* Submit official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities previously attended.

* Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade-point average (CGPA) in all college coursework attempted.

Exceptions to the Minimum GPA Requirement:

* Students who have earned an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree from an accredited Colorado Community College with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 may be eligible to transfer and continue towards a bachelor’s degree. Students with a CGPA below a 2.0 may qualify for conditional transfer

* Students who have demonstrated college-level academic ability by meeting the following conditions:

* Earning a cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA in the most recent 24 or more graded credits attempted

* Earning a 3.0 GPA or higher in the required 12-credit math and English prerequisites for the transfer program to which they are applying.

* Completing a CCD academic pathway.

* Students admitted under the above exceptions will be required to maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA each term. Failure to do so may result in academic suspension.
