Download the Standards of Learning for World Geography from the Virginia Department of Education website. This file will list all the material you should know by the end of your course and will help fill in any gaps. You can even print out the standards and check them off as you master them.

Make flash cards for facts that are difficult to remember. Review your flash cards every night until you can go through them knowing all the answers. Use a printout of a world atlas to memorize bodies of water and continents, and check with your teacher about extra worksheets that may help you master the material.

Complete review games found online. By going over the material often and in different formats, you will retain as much as possible, which can help you master the SOL test.
