Visit the General Educational Development webpage on Oregon.gov. Go to the "Study Programs" section on the page. Click on the "Where can I study online" link to download a "PDF" based list of free and fee based Internet, GED preparation courses.
Read the list of GED preparation courses. Go to the listed websites and research your options in order to make a decision. Look for contact information on the prep course website. Email or call to ask any questions you may have about the program and how it works. Sign up for the preparation course if it meets your needs. Pay for your course with a credit card, if you selected a fee-based program.
Log in to your coursework. Purchase required study guides or use free resources as required. Study the materials and submit assignments as directed. Take practice tests. When you complete the prep course and feel confident in the material, you are ready to register to take the GED test.
Follow the link "GED Testing Locations" on the General Educational Development webpage on Oregon.gov. Select a location convenient to you. Contact the testing center and tell them you want to register to take the GED test.
