How to Make an Appointment to Take the GED Test in Vancouver, Washington

If you did not earn your high school diploma, it may be difficult to find an employer that is willing to hire you. Many employers value education and require that their employees have at least graduated from high school. A diploma is also needed if you want to attend college. Even if you cannot go back to high school, you can still earn your GED, a certificate that is the equivalent of a diploma. If you live in Vancouver, Washington, you must first register before you can take the GED exam.

      Attend a GED orientation session at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. Clark College, located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, is the only GED testing site in Vancouver. You must attend an orientation session if you wish to take the exam.

      Pay the registration fee. This fee is $75 as of January, 2011, and is due when you attend orientation. If you are retaking any portion of the test, the cost is $15.

      Register for the test in person at the orientation session, or call 360-992-2588 to set up an appointment. The GED exam is usually administered every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to as late as 6:30 p.m. You will learn the precise times of your tests at the orientation session.
