Research study topics that are likely to appear on the third-grade proficiency test. To do this, visit the Ohio Department of Education's website, then click on the link "Ohio's Statewide Testing Portal." Click on the "OAA" link.
Select the "Math" drop-down menu on the right side of the screen. Click "third grade," then the most current timeframe. After you've selected the semester, click the "I'm ready" icon.
Click on the "See Content Standards" icon to see specific examples of the type of problems that will be offered on the OAA. Try to find areas of deficiency, then study in those fields by doing homework.
Revisit the OAA test portal, then click on the "Reading" icon. Repeat steps two and three for the reading portions of the test, looking for potential test content.
Download a practice test from the Ohio Department of Education website. There are both mathematics and reading tests available, so make sure to acquire both.
Take the practice tests.
Score the practice test and determine which areas still need work. Practice in those areas until you feel confident with the material.
