How to Prepare for a GED in Delaware

The General Educational Development test, widely recognized as equivalent to a high school diploma, is administered by the American Council on Education (ACE). Delaware maintains a network of 18 GED preparation sites throughout the state, 11 of which offer the GED test. The GED cannot be taken online, however, many free and paid test preparation resources are available on the web, including ACE practice tests.

      Contact the GED preparation and testing site closest to you and sign up for free test preparation programs. GED preparation is also available in level 5 penitentiaries in Delaware. Delaware GED testing sites can be contacted by telephone.

      Complete the 60-day GED preparation course. Supplement the guided course with ACE test materials. Such materials include publications available for purchase and free online sample questions and tests.

      Visit Delaware public libraries to access online the Testing and Education Reference Center. The online testing center provides GED preparation in English and Spanish. The librarian can help you access latest GED test preparation materials in print.
