Calculate the raw scores for each individual subtest. The raw score is the number of items an individual correctly answered. For example, if the student answered a total of 23 questions and 12 of them were correct, the raw score is 12. It is important to read the directions for subtest administration; some tests require different procedures for calculating the raw score.
Install the compu-score software onto your computer. The software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and ME. Insert the disk into the computer's CD drive. Follow the simple directions that will appear on the monitor screen.
Enter the demographic information in the scoring program. You will be required to input the student's name, birthday, grade and date of testing. The software will automatically calculate the student's age.
Enter the raw scores into the appropriate boxes. The boxes will be labeled with numbers that correspond to the subtests, as indicated on the UNIT protocol.
Hit the "Score" button, located in the tool bar at the top of the page. A report will be generated that includes scaled scores, percentiles, confidence bands and significance levels. The report also includes a narrative of score interpretations.
