The Learning Language and Loving It Program is designed to help teachers educate students in language and social skills. Every student is different when it comes to his ability to learn and process information. Educators are given the tough task of starting each child down the right path toward success in education. Activities and games included in this program are done in group settings as well as one-on-one sessions. This helps to build language development in a fun way that children, classmates and teachers can enjoy.
The Los Angeles Unified School Districts School Readiness Language Development Program is designed to prepare students for kindergarten. Students are taught in a way that increases their speech pronunciation, listening skills and vocabulary. Classes are held once in the morning and once at night, Monday through Thursday with single track sessions running 2 hours 20 minutes and multi-tracks sessions running for 2 hours 35 minutes. Fridays are designated for parents to attend conferences without their child. Teaching material used in The Early Childhood Education Division is important to student growth in language arts and mathematics.
Two-way language programs are centered around providing a bilingual education to students who are native English speakers and those who are learning English as a second language. The programs are taught by merging English-speaking students in a class with those who are just learning to speak English. Each student receives information in her primary language and also her second language to help bridge the gap between the two. Those learning a second language will be involved in a class where their primary language is being taught to others helping them to become more efficient in the vocabulary of their primary language.
Dual language Development is an Online Masters course taught for those who have a Bachelors Degree of Arts and those with a teaching credential. This program specializes in the development of skills in a second language for bilingual students, native English speakers and those who want to learn English as second language. The material is taught in a classroom setting and also through online work that can be done from home. Graduates of this course are highly trained and have the ability to apply for high- ranking jobs.
