Determine which subjects your child is struggling with. Asking questions about a child's day at school, paying close attention to homework assignments and communicating with teachers will alert a parent as to which topics cause a child the most difficulty.
Ask teachers or school administrators which free tutoring services serve the Orlando area, and check for free tutoring resources at your local library branch. Get names and telephone numbers and email addresses.
Contact the tutoring service, discuss your child's needs and ask if there are tutors available to help with the particular subjects. Ask whether tutors can be sent directly to your home, or if services are provided at the school, library or at another facility.
Arrange to have your child taken to and from the tutoring center if necessary. Find out if transportation is provided, or if you will be expected to provide the ride.
