Cut out large Cs from construction paper and let each child decorate one. Tape two or three crayons together for each student and have them draw multiple colored Cs.
Give each child a construction paper C to draw or glue on items with names that begin with the letter C. Adhere corn flakes, cotton balls and candy to a construction paper C. Draw pictures of cakes, candles and cars on the letter.
Cut out photos from magazines or catalogs of items with names that begin with the letter C and have the kids glue them onto paper. Have each student say what pictures are in their collage and discuss the hard C or soft C sound.
Ask the students to draw a picture that incorporates three different things that begin with C. For instance, a vegetable scene can include carrots, celery and cucumbers. Include in a Halloween scene items like costumes, candy corn and black cats. Cakes, candles and cups make a good party scene.
Create a small booklet featuring different C items to color, including a car, a cat, crayons and clovers. Give one to each child.
