Read the story aloud from the Bible. Print a copy of the story for each child to take home so their parents can read them the story again later. Read slowly and stop if your students have any questions or don't understand a word. For example, you may need to explain what a water pot is or that Galilee is a city.
Ask your students to recap the story for you. See what they can remember from the brief story. Your preschoolers may enjoy recalling the tale and putting their own twist on the story.
Play a puzzle game. You can play Bible puzzle games online if you have multiple computers in your classroom or make your own puzzle. Print out a picture of Jesus at the wedding in Galilee and cut it into several pieces. Have your preschoolers try to put the pieces back together. For a more personal twist, let each student make their own drawing, then cut the drawings into puzzle pieces. Give each child a zippered plastic bag to take their puzzle pieces home.
Sing a song about water turning into wine. You can sing a published song, such as "Water to Wine," or ask your students to help you come up with your own song. See how creative your students can get in coming up with lyrical ideas.
