What is the country of origin or etymology kindergarten?

Kindergarten is a German word that literally translates to "children's garden". The concept of kindergarten was first developed by Friedrich Fröbel in the 1830s in Blankenburg, Germany. Fröbel believed that young children should be educated in a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages creativity and exploration. He created a series of games and activities that were designed to help children develop their physical, intellectual, and emotional skills. The first kindergarten in the United States was opened in Watertown, Wisconsin in 1856 by Margarethe Schurz.
