Part of the National Guard's ChalleNGe program, the Virginia National Guard ChalleNGe program, located in Virginia Beach, provides at-risk teens with the values, skills and self-discipline necessary to become successful adults.
The 22-week residential phase focuses on academics and community service, and teens can earn their General Educational Development (GED) certificate while at the camp. Also while there, students develop a life plan and are matched with a mentor who will be with them for a year after they leave the facility.
