Create a square-shaped gelatin mold. Use the gelatin as the cell membrane. While the gelatin is setting, insert the different cell structures; use candies, fruits or other edible items on hand. Edible science projects are not only creative, but delicious. Invite your classmates to sample your plant cell once the presentation has been graded.
Use a shoe box as the cell wall and either draw cell parts on the inside of the box, or glue down objects that resemble cell parts. These can be simple items you have lying around the house.
Draw cell parts on transparent drawing sheets and place them together like a book. When you flip through the pages, you can see cell structure individually. When you have them all lying on top of each other, you can see the complete cell.
Bake a pizza in the shape of a square or rectangle. The cheese represents the cell membrane, while the crust is the cell wall. Different vegetables and common pizza toppings can be used to represent the various structures within the cell. Bring plates and napkins to share your plant cell with your classmates.
If you are passionate about baking and have a considerable amount of time on your hands, you can impress your classmates and teacher with an entirely edible plant cell cake. Decorate the top of a square-shaped cake as a cross section of a plant cell. Use different colored frosting and candies to represent the different cell structures.
Fill a clear freezer bag with water and other objects to represent cell organelles. Once frozen, it can be lain out on a platter and presented in class.
