With all the hype about foods that contain lower fat and calories, utilize the trend by creating a taste test discovering the difference between low-fat foods and those with a higher fat content. Choose several food items that show a significant reduction in fat, calories and/or sugars. Limit items to a reasonable number for testers to choose, such as five. For example, choose cheese, yogurt, milk, pizza and a fruit juice. Prepare the foods with enough portions for 25 or more testers to sample. After they have sampled each option, ask them to complete a short survey that contains information on which item they liked more, whether or not they noticed a significant difference and overall likelihood of purchasing the lower fat food. Document and showcase the results on a science board reflecting how testers felt about choosing the lower fat foods versus the higher ones.
Most every business has its own personality or business culture. It may be whimsical, stoic or something in between. Finding out what a business's on-hold, in-store or lobby music says about them by comparing the type of music with their business environment is a way to start collecting data. Limit the companies to less than a dozen and opt for those where you can actually interact with the business, as opposed to just looking on their website for information. Interview the Human Resources Director or some employees about their policies on flexibility, perks and business attire. Find out if classical music is a common music for severely professional environments and if rock and pop music is a stereotype for creative industries.
Allow your little girl to get in touch with her senses and explore what mood and attitude is affected by aromatherapy. Use a variety of fragrances and some tester models over a long period of time to see if moods were affected by wearing a selection of scents. On day one, the testers can wear a citrus scent, followed by a musk scent on day two, no scent on day three and a very sweet scent on the final day. Have them journal their emotions rating the highs and lows of their day to chart their feelings as it relates to the scents they wore.
