Science projects do not have to cost a fortune or be overly complex in the steps. You can have a science project that is simple, enjoyable to test and can still get a good grade in any science fair. Instructions

    • 1

Use a piece of paper to record all of your findings during the course of the experiment. Make sure to include your hypothesis, controls, experiment and anything you add to the experiment. All of this information is important to have when presenting your project at the science fair.

    • 2

Fill the five plastic cups with an equal amount of water and detergent. For example, if you use 100 milliliters of water, use 100 milliliters of liquid detergent.

    • 3

Add an equal amount of other ingredients to four of the cups. For example, fill up one cup each with lemon juice, glycerin, corn syrup and sugar, using equal amounts of the ingredient per cup.

    • 4

Blow bubbles from each cup, timing how long the bubbles last with the stopwatch. Write down your results.

    • 5

Put together a board showing all of your information. You can include graphs, pictures from your experiment and all of your information from the experiment. You can take your supplies with you to the science fair.
