Valentine Crafts for School Parties

Valentine's Day parties are the perfect time for students to create cards, snacks, and table bouquets. Fortunately, all it takes to impress this group is a little creativity and sweets. Let the kids have fun with Valentine's Day crafts at their party.
  1. Sweetheart Treats

    • Using sweet muffins or cupcakes, your students can easily create decorative treats for your party. Ask students to create small decorative paper crafts to place on top of glazed muffins or cupcakes. Suggest they draw, cut out and decorate Valentine-related imagery such as hearts, flower bouquets, music notes, and sayings such as "Be My Valentine!" or "Happy Valentine's Day!"

    Penned Valentine

    • Provide a simple Valentine's Day card craft that is both sweet and useful. Have students cut out large heart designs from heavy paper or cardboard. Then have students decorate their hearts using colorful markers and stickers with creative images and phrases. Have each student cut two slits or holes on the top and bottom of the heart so that a cool pen can go through the heart diagonally, similar to a Valentine arrow.

    Lollipop Bouquet

    • Have students create a lollipop bouquet for your Valentine's Day party table. All the kids need to do is create red and pink paper hearts and green leaves that can be taped to the wrapped lollipops. Set the lollipops in a red bucket as a colorful display. The lollipops can be take-home treats when the party is over.
