How to Teach on Abraham and Isaac to Kids

Teaching the story of Abraham and Isaac to children might sound daunting. It's a scary and from ancient times. But with some planning, you can make it both less frightening and more relevant to children.

Instructions

    • 1

Tell the story, tailoring the details and suspense for the age group you're teaching. Emphasize how tired Abraham was or how much he must have loved Isaac.

    • 2

Extract the universal lessons. Do not assume children can do this on their own. Emphasize obedience, trust, sacrifice and faith.

    • 3

Show how this is relevant to their lives. Ask them questions or bring up scenarios to help them see how they can practice the principles Abraham demonstrated.
