Changing your answers to fractions using the TI-84, TI-84 Plus or TI-84 Plus Silver Edition requires only three steps to accomplish. You have the option of displaying answers in fraction form from the beginning, or converting answers to fractions after the equation has been solved and given in decimal form -- both methods use the same buttons and require the same steps only in a different order.

Type the equation into your TI-84 home screen, but do not press "Enter" yet.

Press "MATH" button and select "Frac" by pressing "Enter" or 1.

Press "Enter" again to get the answer in fraction form.
