Create a large "L" shape on a piece of paper using a pencil. Use a ruler to make sure the lines are straight and make each line of equal size.
Label the data that is being measured along the bottom line of the graph. Each data point should be equally spaced apart.
List the numbers that correlate with the data along the vertical side of the bar graph. The numbers should increase as they go up.
Create a bar that protrudes up from the horizontal data line, directly over the data point in question, and reaches to the exact place that aligns with the correct correlating number.
Create a bar for each data point on the horizontal line.
