How to Teach Children Print Handwriting

Children are taught print handwriting before cursive in most schools, although some schools are reverting to the original way of teaching handwriting. Most of the United States founders were taught cursive handwriting long before print. When teaching print handwriting, working with the student's strengths will likely result in a happier student and successful lesson. Some students are not developmentally prepared for handwriting at a young age and forcing the student will result in an upset student who does not want to write.
