How to Cite a Government Statement

If you have to cite a government statement for a research paper or essay, there is a specific way that the document must be presented in order for it to be properly cited and given credit. The most widely accepted form of citation is the Associated Press manual of style, AP, and the American Psychological Association style, APA. If a statement is not cited properly, it is considered to be plagiarism if parts of the statement are used in another document.
