Determine which aspect of culture you want to explore in your paper. Think about any instructions you were given for your paper before choosing a topic. If you weren't given any specific requirements, choose an aspect of the culture that interests you and about which you have enough supporting background to develop a strong paper.
Create a thesis statement. A thesis statement presents your main argument to your reader and sets up your entire essay. The thesis statement should be written as early as possible in the process in order to make sure that your audience is aware of which cultural aspect you will be analyzing.
Develop a strong outline for your paper. The outline should contain your introduction, main body paragraphs and conclusion. Remember that each of your main body paragraphs should highlight a different argument for your cultural analysis. It is important to outline so that your reader doesn't get lost in everything you are trying to analyze in a culture.
Use examples from films or literature that come directly from the specific culture you will be analyzing throughout your paper. Film, literature and music are some of the best windows into a culture, and therefore constitute the best ways to analyze a culture.
Edit your paper for any silly mistakes, spelling errors and grammatical mishaps. You want your paper to be well written so that your audience can focus on understanding the culture you are analyzing instead of focusing on the errors that you made.
