There are many different things you can do with text when you are typing in a document. One useful thing you can do is to underline a letter or a whole word while you are typing. While there are different ways that you can accomplish this using word processing programs, there is one way that you can underline the text that you want to without breaking the typing motion and using the mouse.

Type the letters or words that you do not want to underline.

Press the "Ctrl" key and "U" key at the same time. Release both keys.

Continue typing the letters or words that you want to underline.

Press the "Control" and "U" keys at the same time again. When you continue typing, the text will no longer be underlined.
