Check your local library for books or DVDs in the Swedish language. If you don't have the funds to take a formal class in the Swedish language, the library will lend you language instruction materials at no cost. If you don't have a library card, you can buy one for a small fee.
Search bookstores and malls for other language learning software. Bookstores have entire sections for language books, CDs and DVDs. There are also often kiosks in malls selling language instruction software.
Get involved in the Swedish community in your city, if there is one. This will allow you interaction with Swedes, who will be able to converse with you in Swedish.
