Correspondence Schools for Herbals

There are a number of schools in the United States that provide students with the opportunity to obtain the necessary information to competently use herbs in their private lives as well as in a healing setting through correspondence courses. Herbs can be used for a wide variety of medicinal and culinary uses. In addition to private use, herbs and herbal remedies are commonly used in the practice of naturopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage and other alternative medical practices. A reputable correspondence program will cover topics such as the botanical nature of the herbs, how to grow or gather herbs, proper identification of herbs, therapeutic uses and recommended preparations and dosages.
