SuchAVoice provides a one-time, two-hour interactive workshop for aspiring voice over artists in locations throughout the country. The class is designed to introduce students to the industry. Students learn about standard recording equipment and have the chance to try out the microphone. Professional voiceover coaches and producers teach students the trends in the industry, voiceover techniques for narration versus commercial jobs, and an overview of how professionals work in the industry, how to improve technique and receive training and how to market your unique voice in the industry. Sheryl Powers teaches the Sacramento workshop. She has more than 20 years experience in the voice over and radio industry in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Cammie Winston is an accomplished voice over artist in Sacramento. Cammie Winston and Associates provides workshops on a monthly basis for aspiring voiceover artists. Monthly courses cover a variety of topics including an introduction to voiceovers, getting started in the business, developing a rich delivery, taking direction, developing an internal time clock and putting together a voice demo. There are limits on class sizes so reservations are required. Classes are 2.5 hours and include time behind the microphone.
The Great Voice Company is located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, but offers a coaching program through their Perfect Performance Teletraining Program for students in off-site locations including Sacramento. The Perfect Performance Teletraining Program uses teleconference technology, enabling students to learn one-one-one from coaches, from anywhere.
