Register your phone number at donotcall.gov. You can also register by calling the registry hotline toll-free at 1-888-382-1222.
Verify that your number has been placed on the list by going to donotcall.gov and clicking on "Verify a Registration" in the menu bar on the left side of the page. You can also verify by calling the number listed above.
Wait 31 days. Telemarketing companies have 31 days, from the date you register, to remove your number from their lists.
