This is a great craft to do with children to help teach the story of Noah. Children can work together to create the ark and then each child can make two animals each to add to the ark. At the end of the craft, you will have a full Noah's ark that you can use to act out the story in the Bible.
The cross is a very important symbol in Christianity as it represents God's act of love when sacrificing Christ. While it might be graphic to depict the crucifixion, especially when doing this craft with children, you can create crosses out of clay and decorate them. Children can include meaningful decorations that show what the Bible means to them. If you use clay that can be hardened in the oven, you can then turn these crosses into decorations that can be hung in church or at home.
The characters in the Nativity scene are great to make out of clay. You can create baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Three Wise Men. You can even create a manger and the animals if you'd like. Not only will this teach who was present and what happened, but it also can be used as a Christmas decoration each year. Just be sure to purchase bakeable clay that can be put in the oven and hardened to preserve it for a lifetime.
A great craft for representing Bible stories is choosing one of the Christian holidays and creating what it means to you out of clay. You can choose Christmas or Easter, or one of the less celebrated, like All Saints Day. Recreate these stories from the Bible how you see fit. If there are numerous stories in the Bible that relate to that holiday, choose a specific one. For example, instead of Easter as a whole, depict the Stations of the Cross. For Christmas, create ornaments with depictions from the Bible.
