Draw a circle for the head. You are going to draw the camel from its side so that it's looking at you, so sketch the eyes, large nose and curved mouth.
Create a long, curved line the for neck. Next, draw a large, lemon-shaped area for the camel's body. Draw a circle for the front thigh and another circle for the back upper thigh. Add four lines for the legs.
Work on the head's details. Draw the eyes and add long, curly lashes. Camels have two rows of eyelashes to keep out the sand, so make sure they are thick. Add the large nose with detailed bone structure. The nose is prominent -- and it can close to keep out the sand -- so shade the bridge and draw large nostrils. Make the lips thick and wide. The two ears are small and rounded.
Add a bit of scruffy hair on the long neck. Make it thin at the head and thicker as you move closer to the trunk of the camel's body. When you get to the lemon-shaped body, add a hump or two.
Craft detail to the four legs. They are wide at the top and get narrow as you go down the leg, and camels have knobby knees. The animals also have two-hoofed toes for the feet.
Draw a long fuzzy tail. Add scruffy hair to the underbelly and the tops of the legs.
Color in your camel with crayons, markers or colored pencils. Erase the guide marks.
