Concentrate on your subjects for a few minutes. In your mind, identify where their respective backbones, pelvis bones, shoulder blades and necks are in relation to each other.
Draw these core body parts on the center of the drawing paper using a mechanical pencil. Use ovals and circles to represent the basic positioning of each body. Keep your eyes on your subjects and flicker your gaze between them and the page.
Draw circles for the shoulders and an amoeba shape for the chest that overlaps on to the shoulders. Draw the legs and arms using circles and long ovals with small round circles to indicate joints. Draw the head, feet and hands last.
Draw both bodies as if they are both visible from your perspective -- even if one part of one person's body is actually blocking the other -- as this will help your figure drawing be realistic.
Connect the body shapes using exterior lines to form the silhouette of each person. Curve the lines as needed to express the dynamism of the couple's respective shapes and looks.
Use an ink pen to transform the pencil drawing into an ink drawing. When the ink dries, use the kneaded eraser to erase all of the circles and overlapping lines, leaving only the inked body shapes of the couple.
Further emphasize and finalize the body contours using the pen to make multiple lines or strategic shading. Add diagonal lines on the chest or breasts to indicate sloping of one body in particular direction.
Add detail to the face and head, such as eyes and hair, with an ink pen.
