Complete schoolwork in an area that is separate from where you socialize or relax. A separate room or office can work well, along with working in your school's library.
Add all of your commitments to one calendar, including social engagements, work schedules, extracurricular activities and schoolwork you must complete. That way, you will see on your calendar that you have a big project due the next day before you schedule in a social engagement for that evening.
Use to-do lists. These lists can include both general life tasks, such as going to the bank or taking your cat to the vet, as well as school assignments, such as completing research for a report or studying for an exam.
Get a tutor for schoolwork if you are struggling in a subject. For example, when an English major is taking a required chemistry course, the complex formulas and scientific calculations might seem overwhelming. The stress and time it takes to complete assignments can affect your life. A tutor helps you schedule your study time and makes learning difficult concepts less stressful.
Schedule time for relaxation and fun. Even when you have very demanding schoolwork, you will be able to lead a more balanced life when you make time for everything you need, which includes relaxation and stress-free activities.
