Evaluate the stain that you have left over. If it is less than ¼ full, or dried out, you can safely dispose of it at home. Simply tighten the lid securely, place it in a plastic bag and throw it in with your normal garbage.

Load the stain in the trunk or back of your vehicle to prevent fume inhalation and transport the can to your local hazardous waste disposal location.
