Use colorful wallpaper, fabric, felt letters and stickers to transform an uninspiring cardboard box into a lively toy box. Buy leftover pieces of wallpaper to use to create a mosaic or patchwork style or glue pieces of colorful fabric on the box and spell out the child’s name on the front or sides with felt letters.
Use a decorated cardboard box as a gift box. Cover the box with a metallic spray paint and wait until it's thoroughly dry. Create decorative patterns by spraying paint of other colors on the sides and front. Print photos of the person receiving the gift and glue them around the box to create a personalized present.
Use recyclable materials and old objects to decorate a box based on a theme of celebration, such as Christmas or Halloween. Cover the box with leftover paint or paper and decorate with pieces of ribbon, buttons, bottle caps, old fishing nets and other materials. Cut pieces of cork or plastic bottles to create patterns or use leftover colorful yarn. Recycle old Christmas cards by gluing them around the box.
Store your duvet or blanket inside a decorative cardboard box. Choose any fabric you like, from satin to cotton. You will also need some polyester batting and hot glue or special glue for fabrics. First, glue some batting all around the box or only on the front; this will give a cushioned effect to your duvet box. Wrap the box with fabric, but dont glue it on the top of the batting. Glue the fabric in the areas under and inside the box. Finally, cover the inside of the box with adhesive paper.
