Choose a pattern for the bracelet. There are many available patterns including the Chinese Staircase, hearts, diamonds, rainbows, stripes and dots, chevrons and checkered.
Cut out a disk with a diameter of 7 cms from the cupboard and mark with eight diagonal lines across the perimeter of the disk. Make a hole through the center of the disk where the diagonal lines converge. Create slits at the edges of each of the diagonal lines. Allot colors on the disk according to the pattern you want.
Identify the colors you would like to use for your bracelet. Bear in mind that you can make each thread of different colors or include one color more than another if you want more effect of one color over others. You will need eight to ten strands of thread to make a reasonably sized bracelet though you may use more threads depending on the size of the bracelet you want to make. If you choose many colors, your bracelet will be wider giving your pattern more visibility.
Cut a piece of thread from all the colors you have. You make cut 25 inches to 3 feet long depending on the pattern and length you want for your bracelet. Use more than one color to make the bracelet look nice.
Arrange your threads neatly until the ends meet and tie them at one end to make a knot allowing for two or three inches near the end.
Insert the knotted end of the floss through the hole in the middle of the cupboard wheel and place each thread by its color to its matching diagonal slot. Clip the thread against the slits on the edges of the disk so that the thread flows to the bottom of the disk.
Hold the disk at a clockwise position so that your disk finds direction from the point where a clock shows twelve. Mark that position as the start point of your weaving. The starting point is very necessary for you to start weaving though it might not matter once you commence.
Remove the thread that runs over the start point and move it over the top of the two strands in the anticlockwise direction near the bottom right hand where it reads four on the clock. Move thread at position eight to the left of the thread at the top at position eleven. Keep moving the disk in anticlockwise direction and repeat the process mentioned in this step all over until your bracelet forms.
Continue braiding until you see the bracelet forming at the bottom of the disk through the hole at the centre. Ensure that the loose ends of the thread do not tangle and constantly check on the bracelet to ensure that the length is as you want it. Once you achieve the size of the bracelet you want, unclip it from the braiding wheel and tie a knot on the loose side. You now have a finished bracelet.
