Ensure your computer has the capabilities required to support the installation of MINISIS PS – Term 4.8. Check for software such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Sketch Up Pro 8 and Microsoft Service Pack 2+. It should have a minimum hardware of 1 GHz processor, 512 MB hard disk space and 3D Video Card with 128 MB and above for Windows XP. For an Apple machine, select a Quick Time 5.0, Multimedia Tutorials for web browser and Safari; a minimum of Intel Processor 2.1+ GHz and 1 GB RAM. The Video Card should support the 1.5 Open GL version or higher.
Close any other active program in the computer before activating the installer. This minimizes the chances of interfering with the installation.
Insert the CD with the software in the computer’s CD slot and wait for it to initialize. Move your cursor to “My Computer” icon and click on it twice to open it. Scroll to the letter “D,” which is the driver that contains the CD with the installer, and click on it to activate it.
Locate the universal installer from the Start menu and scroll to the “Set Up” function. Press enter to initiate the installation. This takes a while or a very short time depending on the speed of your computer. It may require some patience.
Reboot the computer with the new CD. The computer will create a new file automatically upon restart. Some systems may require you to create the file manually. Store your personal settings on a Windows drive safely.
Run the installer. Click on the “Run” button when you insert the CD into its drive. The button automatically displays itself on your user interface.
Check for additional requirements. The installation process may involve the installation of other programs such as utilities or files first to function properly. Ensure that you install the required programs when prompted to do so.
Click once on “Finish” to complete the installation.
