    • Some of the aims of the Aboriginal Relations Grant is to encourage economic, educational and employment prospects in Native Canadian communities, improve relationships between governments, help organizations and communities become more self-reliant, fund seed projects, among other goals. If you are an Aboriginal business owner in Alberta with a recycling business that operates as a non-profit then you may be able to apply for a grant. The application may be accessed and filled out online. After completing it, it must be submitted to Aboriginal Relations.

    • The Innovation Voucher Pilot Program is geared toward businesses which are knowledge or technology driven. If your recycling company fits into this category, as in the case of a computer refurbishing company, then you may be able to benefit from the voucher program. The grants are meant to help fund projects and may total $10,000 for small projects like market surveys or $50,000 for larger endeavors like lab verification. The voucher is to be used at approved companies like the Alberta Terrestrial Imaging Center. The purpose for using the vouchers is to get products and concepts to the market faster.
