Learn the Korean alphabet. You can practice drawing and pronouncing the alphabet, and use videos for identify the letters. Try practicing them correctly and repeating the alphabet until it is memorized.
Learn basic words with a Korean phrase book. You should choose a book with English letters and phonetics. This will help you pronounce the words. Workbooks with accompanying CDs will also help with pronunciation.
Write the Korean words. Korean characters are stacked on top of each other to form syllables and words. Sentences are written horizontally, beginning from the left. The characters are always written the same. Uppercase and lowercase characters are not used.
Speak Korean. You can practice Korean with native speakers that you meet online in a program like Conversation Exchange, or join a "meetup group." At meetup gatherings, connect with other people learning conversational Korean. If you enjoy music, listen to Korean pop music with English subtitles on YouTube, and translate English words you know into Korean words.
