Proceed chronologically through the lessons on your audio language learning program using the playback device (CD player, tape deck or computer) required for your chosen program. If the audio program includes a written manual, use it as directed on the audio track.
Spend at least an hour a week, preferably a half hour to an hour a day, working with your audio course. The time spent will depend on the format of your chosen audio program. Spend a further half hour to one hour practicing without the audio. Make notes of any questions or issues you may encounter, so you can pay attention in your next audio session to see if they are addressed. If not, review the supplementary materials to see if they are answered there.
Practice Swedish in the course of your daily life. Rent a Swedish movie and watch it without reading the subtitles for comprehension skills. Use your phrases and vocabulary as often as possible, either by speaking to yourself, talking to others in Swedish or simply naming things around you.
