Strand College of Hair Design is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. It offers training in cosmetology, manicuring/nail technician and esthetics/skin care. The cosmetology program offers instruction and training in various areas. It includes hair design, chemical curling and straightening, color and highlights, manicuring and pedicuring and salon management. The manicuring/nail technician program teaches manicure and pedicure procedures, nail art, sanitation and salon management. The esthetics/skin care focuses on skin analysis, facial treatments, hair removal, skin disorders and makeup techniques. This school also offers several financial aid packages to students who qualify and are in need.

South Carolina Massage and Esthetics Institute focuses on massage therapy and beautification. It is a member of the Day Spa Association and the American Massage Therapy Association. The Esthetics program is licensed by the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology. Its Esthetics program teaches facial treatments, hair removal, makeup application and professional applications.

While Carolina College of Cosmetology is not located within the Myrtle Beach city limits, it is less than 30 minutes away. CCC offers a one-year cosmetology program for students who have achieved at least a 10th grade education. At Carolina College of Cosmetology, students will learn the techniques used by professional cosmetologists.
