Avola College offers separate studies in hairstyling and personal esthetics. Avola's hairstyling course of study requires 1,500 class hours and covers everything from basic haircutting to salon management and ownership. All related equipment is provided by the school and new classes begin each month. The esthetics program consists of Esthetics, Medical Esthetics and Postgraduate study. Esthetics includes skin care, body care, aromatherapy, professional makeup artistry, manicures and pedicures, nail extensions and services such as waxing and eyebrow trimming. Medical Esthetics covers technology-intensive services such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser hair removal and photo laser treatment for acne. The laser hair removal course provides certification to provide this service. Post-graduate work results in certification to perform electrolysis. Each of the three areas of study involves 1,200 hours of coursework with new classes beginning 10 times per year. Students must have an Ontario Secondary School diploma or be 18 or older to register, and financial aid is available.

On its 10th anniversary in 2010, Toronto Institute of Bartending's website claimed more than 40,000 students. TIB focuses on skills and products knowledge over memorizing recipes for cocktails. Courses include a 26-hour bartending certification that provides equal emphasis on wine, beer and liquor, with study of bar tools and bar setup, stocking, and opening, running and closing procedures. TIB also provides Smart Serve Certification, which is required for all bartenders in Canada and consists of education in responsible serving, recognizing signs of intoxication and teaching awareness of bartenders' legal responsibilities under Canadian and Ontario law. The school also offers separate study modules on martini making and earning a Wine Council of Ontario Certificate; the latter teaches basic viticulture, wine making, wine tasting and more. TIB provides graduates and students extensive help with finding jobs and claims a state-of-the-art training center.

Hi-Mark provides career-oriented training and certification in the HVAC field---heating, ventilation and air conditioning----and is accredited with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority of Canada. Hi-Mark provides training and certification in all levels of expertise relating to gas and propane-fired equipment and oil-burning equipment as well as gas pipe fitting. Students can also take an ozone depletion prevention course, which provides certification to purchase, handle and transport refrigerants such as those used in air conditioning units. The school also has training in residential air conditioning systems, and offers challenge examinations for people who have worked in the field and can obtain improved certification by passing a test instead of taking on additional studies. Hi-Mark has three locations in addition to Toronto, and class schedules vary by location. Registration requires a processing fee but there are no educational prerequisites for beginning classes.
